A deliberately small practice
We have had opportunities to grow into a larger, volume-driven practice and have turned most of them down. Clients at Arist deal directly with the partner handling their matter from first meeting to conclusion, not a junior associate reporting upward.
That approach has meant slower headcount growth than some comparable firms. It has also meant a client roster built almost entirely on referral: a business sale handled well leads to the next introduction, rather than a marketing spend.
