Charles Moss is a litigation solicitor at Arist, having practised as a lawyer in South Africa before joining the firm. Now semi-retired, he plays an advisory role on the firm's highest-value litigation, brought in on the largest and most complex disputes rather than running a full caseload.

Charles is known for taking on matters other firms advise clients to settle. He is direct with clients about their prospects, pursues disclosure and cross-examination hard, and has built a reputation that precedes him: opposing solicitors and their clients tend to know his name before the first hearing, and settlement offers on the other side of a Charles Moss claim tend to improve quickly. He has been involved in securing some of the highest litigation settlements on record.

He works closely with the firm's other litigation and private client teams on the matters he advises on, across both Manchester and Leeds.
