Naomi Osei

Partner, Employment Law

Naomi Osei qualified in 2013 and joined Arist in 2019 to establish its employment practice, having previously worked in-house and at a Manchester employment boutique. She advises both employers and senior employees, a dual perspective she considers useful when negotiating exits, since she understands the pressures on both sides of the table.

For employers, her work covers contracts, policies, disciplinary processes and defending tribunal claims, including a recent matter defending a mid-sized employer against an unfair dismissal claim that settled before hearing. For senior employees and executives, she advises on settlement agreements, restrictive covenants and, increasingly, whistleblowing and discrimination claims, including one instruction advising a senior manager who raised a whistleblowing disclosure ahead of a subsequent redundancy process.

Naomi qualified as an accredited mediator in 2021 and uses mediation where it can resolve a dispute faster than a tribunal timetable allows. She advises clients across both Arist offices and sits on a regional employment law forum's steering committee.
