Priya Chandra qualified in 2011 and joined Arist's family team in 2015, having previously practised at a Leeds family law firm. She handles divorce, financial settlements and children matters, with particular experience in high-net-worth divorce where business assets, trusts or overseas property complicate the usual disclosure process.

A significant part of her practice now involves pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, often for clients entering a second marriage or bringing business assets into a relationship who want clarity agreed in advance rather than litigated later. One recent instruction involved negotiating a pre-nuptial agreement for a client with a minority shareholding in a family trading business, ring-fencing that shareholding ahead of the wedding date.

Priya takes a small number of financial remedy cases at any time, arguing that complex asset cases suffer when handed between fee-earners partway through. She was named a recommended family lawyer in a regional legal directory in 2022 and continues to act for clients across Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire from both Arist offices.
